Stainless Steel Cabinets, Shelves & Racks

I build stainless steel cabinets, shelves & racks for commercial kitchens across Pakistan. At Al-Wali Metalworks, I make storage around your available space, utensils and daily workflow. Whether you need enclosed cupboards or open shelving, I help you choose a practical arrangement before fabrication begins.

Storage Built Around Pots, Plates and Kitchen Supplies

A stack of dinner plates, a deep stockpot and a baking tray each need a different storage arrangement. Plate stacks need accessible shelf clearance. Stockpots need enough depth to sit securely. Baking trays need runners that support their edges without wasting the space between them. At Al-Wali Metalworks, I build stainless steel storage around these differences. Before setting compartment dimensions, I consider the largest item, how staff lift it and whether it needs an individual slot or a shared shelf.

This also separates clean utensil storage from cleaning supplies and reserve ingredients. Giving each group a defined place makes the finished arrangement easier to use throughout a busy shift.

Storage Built Around Pots, Plates and Kitchen Supplies

Storage beside a sink faces different conditions from shelving used for unopened ingredients. Splash exposure, damp utensils and cleaning routines influence the material specification and the position of enclosed compartments.

For wet areas, I discuss SS 304 and the proposed surface finish before quoting. Stainless steel still needs suitable cleaning and drying; the grade alone does not remove maintenance requirements.

In a dry store, container dimensions and stock rotation become the main planning questions. Shelves need enough clearance to remove a full container without tilting it against the level above. Where supplies arrive in cartons but are used in smaller quantities, separate reserve and daily-use positions make replenishment more straightforward.

Which Details Deserve Space on Your Storage Drawing?

Measure the Usable Opening

The usable opening determines what fits inside a cabinet. External width includes the side panels, frame and door arrangement, so it does not describe the available access. I check the largest pot or container against the opening as well as the internal compartment before finalising dimensions.

Allow Room to Lift Items

Shelf spacing needs to accommodate handling, not just the height of a stored item. A container that fits tightly beneath the shelf above is difficult to lift out when full. I leave retrieval space according to the item’s shape and the way staff grip it.

Mark Pipes, Sockets and Wall Projections

Existing services affect where storage sits and how closely it fits. A pipe behind a base cabinet or a socket above a counter needs to appear on the drawing. Identifying these obstructions early helps establish suitable clearances without sacrificing an entire compartment during installation.

Describe the Load, Not Just the Shelf Count

Four shelves do not explain how a rack will be used. Stacked crockery, lightweight packaging and bulk ingredient containers place different demands on its structure. I discuss the expected contents before selecting sheet thickness, shelf supports and frame construction. Load figures require verification for the specific unit.

What Is Included in a Storage Quote?

A useful storage quote identifies what is being fabricated. I set out the overall dimensions, stainless steel grade, proposed thickness and internal arrangement so the buyer can review the actual build.

For cabinets, that includes the door style, shelf count and fittings. For wall-mounted units, it includes the bracket arrangement and fixing requirements. Rack quotations identify the tier layout and whether the shelves are solid, slotted or fitted with tray runners.

Finish, quantity and any site fitting requirements also affect the quotation. I arrange delivery and installation across Pakistan, with access and assembly requirements discussed before dispatch.

Plan One Storage Zone or a Complete Kitchen Arrangement

You do not need to replace every unit to improve an overcrowded kitchen. An additional wall shelf, a dedicated tray rack or a cabinet beneath an existing counter may address the immediate shortage.

Share the available dimensions and the items currently occupying your preparation surfaces. I will help identify which storage units belong in that space and prepare a made-to-measure quotation.

What affects the price of custom kitchen storage?

Custom storage pricing depends on the finish, fittings, quantity and fabrication complexity. Unusual shapes and additional internal divisions also affect the work involved, so I quote each arrangement individually.

An actual tray provides a useful fit reference, especially where rims or handles project beyond the stated size. Otherwise, provide complete outside dimensions and the required insertion direction.

Stainless steel resists corrosion, but exposure conditions and cleaning practices still matter. Persistent moisture, unsuitable chemicals and contamination from ordinary steel can damage its surface over time during use.

Entrance clearance depends on the complete access route, including turns and stairs. Share doorway measurements early so I can assess whether the proposed unit needs a different assembly arrangement.

Clean stainless storage with a soft cloth and mild detergent, then rinse and dry it. Avoid abrasive steel wool and follow the cleaner manufacturer’s instructions before applying unfamiliar products.
