Owner

The Founder Behind the Workshop

I am Waqas DilNawaz, the founder of Al-Wali Metalworks. My experience includes 14 years in the UAE and 3 years in Pakistan, with work across more than 1,000 projects. My career began with welding steel structures. I later moved into stainless steel kitchen equipment, working as a welder, polisher and fabricator. Over time, I also operated laser cutting and bending machines, led fabrication teams and supervised workshop operations.

Working in these different roles taught me how one decision affects the next. A cutting mistake affects assembly. An incorrect bend changes how panels meet. A poorly finished edge becomes a problem for the person using the equipment. That is the experience I bring to discussions with customers. I consider how an item will be made, fitted and used before recommending its details.

Practical Skills Behind the Finished Equipment

Kitchen equipment goes through several stages before it reaches your premises. My background covers the work involved at each stage.

Reading Drawings and Taking Measurements

As a fabricator, I worked from technical drawings to make cabinets, countertops and sinks. This involved checking measurements, cutting components and aligning parts. A countertop and the cabinet beneath it need to fit together, so their dimensions must be considered together before production.

Cutting, Bending and Welding

My machine experience includes preparing laser cutting work from drawings and setting bending machines to the required angles. I have also worked with TIG, MIG and arc welding. Understanding these methods helps me choose an approach suited to the material and the part being made.

Polishing and Surface Finishing

Polishing involves more than making metal shine. My work has included smoothing rough edges, grinding weld marks and restoring damaged polished surfaces. I consider which areas people will handle and which surfaces need further preparation before the final finish is applied.

Equipment for the Work Your Kitchen Handles

A restaurant owner may need more preparation space during busy hours. A baker may need racks that fit existing trays. A canteen manager may need a better arrangement for serving meals and collecting used plates. These are different requirements, even when the equipment is made from the same material. I begin with the task, then discuss the size and arrangement that suit it. My work serves restaurants, hotels, caterers, bakeries, hospitals, institutional kitchens and food production facilities. I also make stainless steel items for home kitchens where standard sizes do not fit the available space.

What I Check Before Work Moves Forward

Clear requirements help prevent confusion between the customer and the workshop. Before fabrication starts, I discuss the dimensions, intended use and important details of the item. For a sink, that includes the bowl position and the pots it needs to hold. For a cabinet, it includes the door opening and the items stored inside. The details change with each order. During workshop supervision, I have checked fabrication work and dealt with problems during installation. This has taught me to raise questions when a drawing or measurement is unclear. It is better to settle a detail before cutting than discover the problem during fitting.

Workshop Safety and Responsible Site Work

Workshop and site work need care around people, tools and equipment. My training includes welding, pipe and structure fabrication, fire safety, hazard identification and risk assessment. I have also trained in the use of personal protective equipment and emergency preparedness. These are part of my practical background in carrying out and supervising fabrication work.

Serving Customers Across Pakistan

The workshop is near Asia Cargo Saggian, Lahore. Delivery and installation are available across Pakistan, including Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Gujranwala. For customers ordering from another city, I discuss the measurements and fitting requirements before production. Entrance sizes, stairs and the final equipment position need attention when planning how a large item will reach the kitchen. You can explain your requirements to me in Urdu, Punjabi or English. You do not need to know fabrication terms to describe a problem with your current equipment or discuss a new item.

Let’s Plan Equipment for Your Kitchen

Whether you are replacing one item or planning equipment for a new kitchen, start by telling me what you need it to do. I will help you identify the measurements and fabrication details needed to take the order forward.
